There's are large selection of restaurants in The Irish Riviera, and they have been arranged here to show thier distance from the very centre of the Riviera - the Clock Tower in Youghal.

 

    Youghal town centre  - Aherne's
    "One of the world's finest fish restaurants"
    The most famous restaurant in Youghal -and one of the best known in Ireland- is Ahernes. Situated in the right in the heart of the own, and adjacent to the four star hotel. Recently voted one of "Irelands most Romantic Restaurants" by the Bridgestone Guide, Aherne's Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a fantastic gastronomic treat.

    Using the freshest local produce (including the finest fish from that day's catch in Youghal harbour, locally reared beef and lamb, seasonal vegetables and a delicious array of various home baked breads) the menu includes imaginative and traditional dishes created by the award winning Chef, David Fitzgibbon. The extensive wine list has been carefully selected to offer variety and to suit all palates.

    Youghal town centre - The Coachouse Restaurant
    A stylish restaurant within the Old Imperial Hotel, offering a impressive a al carte selection over three courses featuring local produce, well presented. Choose from steaks, lamb, fish chicken, duck and vegetarian options. There's a good selection wines, mostly French, but including some interesting selections from around the globe. open 7 nights from 6:30pm with last order at 9:15pm.

    Youghal town centre - Pak Fook Gardens
    Pak Fook Gardens is a Youghal favourite, and weekend booking is essential even out of season. They serve a range of speciality Cantonese dishes, but also Szechuan and Peking favourites too, along with a range of other Oriental and European dishes too.
    They have opened a separate Take-away restaurant, across the road to deal with demand.

    Youghal town centre - Ameer Palace
    Ameer Palace is Youghal's Indian Tandoor Restaurant, and is a small welcoming place, serving some excellent Indian food. Tandoori dishes are their speciality, but a very wide variety of other dishes are served - so go ahead try something new. Open daily from 5pm to Midnight. Take-away and delivery service s also available.

    Youghal town centre - The Red Store
    Steaks and traditional fare, plus a selection of dishes from around the globe, and daily specials. The restaurant is upstairs, and is complemented by a very nice modern styled bar serving lunches every day.

    Youghal Strand Area - Yoki's Chinese Restaurant NEW
    A gourmet Chinese restaurant (with a selection of Thai dishes too). Opened in July 2004, this restaurant is brand new, and serves the best Chinese food that this reviewer has had in Ireland. Sited underneath the Strand Palace apartments, this is the only restaurant in Youghal that has sea views.

    Youghal Strand Area - Tides Restaurant
    A gourmet restaurant specialising in fish and meat dishes. Traditional recipes with
    flair. Recently extended, Tides retains its modern and stylish edge. A good selection of wines to suit all tastes.

    Youghal Outskirts - Brownes Restaurant
    Traditional dishes in a nice atmosphere, the restaurant is about 2 miles outside Youghal, on the Cork Road.

    Ardmore – White Horses Restaurant
    Very popular restaurant, serving traditional fare made from local produce. It is essential to book at weekends.

    Shanagary - Ballymaloe Restaurant
    Ballymaloe is world famous. On weekdays the menu provides a choice of hot soups
    or cold starters, followed by a fish or pat course. Main course is a choice of fish,
    poultry or meat from our local butcher. A cheese board and desert trolley, followed
    by coffee or tea and petit fours completes the meal.

    On Friday nights, dinner starts with an hors d'oeuvres buffet, the specialty being fresh shellfish gathered that morning in Kenmare Bay.
